Centenium Advisors was founded in 1999 by Mr. Paul Weissman. The Firm’s principals have more than 75 years of combined experience in equity sales, marketing, corporate finance, fund-raising and direct investing in emerging markets, and also fund-positioning and fund-raising for alternative investment strategies, including real estate, hedge funds and private equity. Since inception, Centenium Advisors has raised over $1.5 billion for fund managers active in the Asia-Pacific region, Russia, India and other global emerging markets. In total, the principals have raised over $3 billion from U.S. institutional investors over the last 15 years.


PRINCIPALS


Paul J. Weissman

Mr. Weissman is the Founder and Principal of Centenium Advisors. He has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and financial services. Prior to Centenium Advisors, Mr. Weissman was a Principal and Co-Founder of Indochina Partners Ltd. a New York/Saigon direct investment company where he was responsible for negotiating more than $50 million of equity financing from Goldman Sachs, Zesiger Capital Group and other institutional investors for direct investments in green-field manufacturing and real estate ventures in Vietnam. Prior to Indochina Partners, Mr. Weissman spent eight years at the New York office of Julien J. Studley Inc., a national commercial real estate company where he rose to Corporate Managing Director responsible for developing the company's business among Japanese and other Asian corporations occupying office space in New York. Mr. Weissman negotiated more than twenty five transactions for Japanese and other Asian companies totaling over $300 million. Mr. Weissman also worked and studied in Singapore/Indonesia (1973), Japan (1974 – 1976), Hong Kong (1979 – 1980), and Thailand and the Philippines (1980 – 1982). Mr. Weissman received a B.A. in anthropology from Vassar College and a Masters Degrees in public health and urban planning from Columbia University. Mr. Weissman is a Trustee of the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship Foundation and the International Center for the Disabled and has served as a director of several Vietnamese ventures. He is Series 7, 63 and 24 registered with FINRA.


Roberto T. Fabros

Mr. Fabros is a Partner of Centenium Advisors and has over 30 years of experience in the securities industry . Prior to joining Centenium Advisors, he was a Managing Director at Maxim Group, where he focused on capital-raising for emerging growth and healthcare companies. From 1993 to 2004, he was a Senior Vice President at Natexis Bleichroeder, where he raised capital for and was a director of private equity funds for China, India and the Philippines. He was also responsible for originating capital markets business with companies based in the emerging markets. From 1991 to 1993, he was an Executive Director of the Cathay Clemente Fund, a Hong Kong-listed private equity fund for China. From 1988 to 1991, he was responsible for Latin America M&A advisory activities at Bankers Trust Company. From 1985 to 1988, he was the head of Latin America corporate finance at the First National Bank of Chicago. From 1983 to 1985, he was the Finance Director of Pepsi-Cola International. From 1976 to 1983, he was a Vice President at Chase Manhattan Capital Markets, and had responsibility for Chase’s loan syndication business with clients in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Mr. Fabros received a B.A. from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He is Series 7 and 24 registered with FINRA.

Nansie J. Bernard

Ms. Bernard is a Partner of Centenium Advisors and has over 20 years of marketing, advisory and client service experience. She has raised in excess of $2 billion for private equity and real estate funds/private placements over the last 11 years . Ms. Bernard was the Founding Partner of Source Partners, a New York-based placement firm focused on raising capital for alternative investment managers, including private equity, venture capital and real estate. Prior to founding Source Partners, she served as a Vice President in the Private Equity Group at Thomas Weisel Partners, responsible for helping to build and manage an internal placement group raising capital for the firm’s private equity and asset management products. Ms. Bernard had previously been a Vice President with Security Capital Group within the investment banking group raising capital for real estate private placements and ultimately responsible for developing and implementing institutional marketing programs that raised $600 million for a public REIT product. Ms. Bernard received a B.A. in Economics and Government from Simmons College. She is Series 7, 63 and 24 registered with FINRA.
